The City of Marburg is planning an extension of the existing Martin-Luther-Primary School in the inner city.

The design concept includes an orthogonal structure for continuing the partly listed existing school. Further aims are to improve the space quality of the school yard.

Moreover, the building of the school is connected functionally as well as urban and spacially with the existing city hall and their different functions. The mainstay between the two functions and their orientation is solved with a spiral staircase in a four-storeyed open space in the new building.
