Rooftop plant of a Research Building
The building section D on the Max Planck premises in Martinsried was completely renovated and restructured after the last retirement of a director. In addition to the renovation of the laboratory floors and the installation of the computer centre in the basement, a modern plant room was built on the roof. The new roof structure was designed as a steel frame construction. For the facade cladding, an opaque industrial glazing including a translucent thermal insulation material was selected. The roof of the plant room is a flat roof consisting of insulated trapezoidal sheet metal, a bituminous roof seal and a gravel cover.
