Laboratory building of the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried
As part of the Economic Stimulus Package I, the central building S on the Max Planck campus in Martinsried near Munich was refurbished in terms of energy efficiency. All refurbishment measures were carried out while maintaining operations. The replacement of the windows was combined with a PCB refurbishment.
The renovation comprised the following main elements:
- 360 sqm of prefabricated facade with parallel slide-tilt windows 1.80 x 1.80 m,
- 360 sqm of post and beam facade in the corridors replacing the single pane glazing
- 320 sqm of roof surface
