Reconstruction and renovation of the laboratory building in the Max Planck Clinic for Psychiatry

On the property of the Max-Planck-Klinikum für Psychiatrie in Munich-Schwabing, reconstruction and renovation measures were carried out in connection with a new nomination of the directorate.

Part of the refurbishment involved the laboratories on the 1st floor. Here, Kai Otto Architekten was responsible for the laboratory planning as well as the implementation of the renovation measures. The laboratory furniture was completely removed and replaced by modern work tables that meet today's requirements. In some laboratories safety cabinets and incubators as well as refrigerators and freezers were integrated. In addition, special equipment measures were necessary in the safety level 2 laboratory and in the function, cooling and storage rooms for nitrogen and chemicals.

Some of the measures were carried out during ongoing operations.
