Refurbishment of an office building in the city center of Munich

The five-storey office building was built in the 1970s. The facade has remained unchanged since then. Kai Otto Architekten received the order to renovate the inner-city office building.

After the removal of the existing natural stone facade, which could no longer be used, it was replaced by a new fiber-cement-concrete facade panel including thermal insulation. In addition, the continuous ribbon windows, also from the construction period of the building, were replaced by highly thermally insulated aluminum windows including an electrical sun protection system.

The fire doors in the stairwell were renewed from the ground floor to the 6th floor. In addition, high-quality inspection doors for the electrics were installed on every floor.
