New roofed bicycle parking on the Max Planck Campus in Martinsried

Due to the redevelopment of the main entrance of the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology, the existing bicycle shelter had to be dismantled. Its new location is directly near the parking deck on the site.

For the 105 bicycle parking spaces required, a prefabricated system was selected which is galvanized and powder-coated. Moreover, this system with its quite minimalistic design has such a large roof that the even bicycles with trailers are completely covered.

The flat roof is made of trapezoidal sheet metal and the bicycle storages designed according to the same principle with rear and side walls of horizontally mounted larch wood.
