Refurbishment of canteen State Finance Office Munich

The State Office of Finance in Munich comprises several interconnected office buildings and a connecting structure with a canteen on the first floor. The three-story canteen building is positioned between two six-story buildings. The basement houses kitchen, storage, and cold storage rooms, while the canteen with dining area is located on the first floor, and the upper floor contains offices and training rooms. The external walls of the first floor are made of reinforced concrete columns, while the exterior and interior walls of the other floors are constructed as masonry walls using perforated brick.

The canteen underwent refurbishment under the 2017 special program "Energy Refurbishment of State Buildings". This involved renovating the flat roof, including its connections to the two adjacent buildings, replacing windows, doors, and vestibules, as well as energetically renovating the entire facade. The building was given a contemporary architectural design that considered the overall character of the site and its immediate surroundings. All of these construction measures were carried out while canteen and office operations continued.
