Conversion of an office building into community accommodation for refugees
A Munich office building complex is being completely converted in two construction phases during ongoing operations for the use as communal accommodation for refugees. Following the gutting, this includes a fire protection upgrade of the building fabric in the existing building, as well as conversions to adapt the space to the later use. The majority of the building's technical systems will be renewed as part of the measure. Commonly used kitchens, washrooms and sanitary facilities for the residents, as well as office space for administration by the user will be created.
Furthermore, a security system will be installed for operation throughout the building. In the course of the redesign, relaxation areas, play areas and bicycle shelters will be created outside.Client: City of Munich
