Energetic refurbishment of the State Office for Finance in Munich

The State Office for Finance in the Munich, Lehel was built in 1964 as a six-storey office and administration building.

The office of Kai Otto Architekten received the contract for the tender and construction management of the energetic renovation of the entire building including the inner courtyard.

During the energetic renovation of the facade, particular emphasis was placed on mineral wool insulation and a mineral, thick-layer thermal insulation composite system. This prevents the premature soiling of the light facade and helps to avoid fungicides in the paint. The mineral plaster can absorb moisture and can also release it again and thus has a moisture-regulating effect.

The roof was cleared of pollutants and was re-insulated. All windows and doors made of aluminum construction are provided with external sun protection.
